Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was a most important person in the 20th century, both because of what he accomplished as a scientist and because of what he came to represent as a person. Following the lead of Abraham Pais I'll try and use Einstein's early work as a sort of historical anchor for understanding some key ideas in early 20th century physics.
