On SEAMONSTER, first I tried apt-get install postgresql (and I had a newer version of gnomelibs than the dependencies liked... ug)

So fall back to fink install postgresql (ok, the "right" osx way, I guess).. looks like it is grabbing version 8.1.4 of postgresql

Have postgresql (7.4) installed on NSRL1 (Linux) this is where I'll do the dev..
